Counting the register when opening the store can proceed in two different ways depending on how the register opening is configured. See 'Register opening configurations 'for a description of the two options; 'Manual' and 'Automatic.'
Opening the register with ‘Manual’ configuration
If you have counted the register and completed the day, you will see this screen when signing in.
Press 'Open register' to open the register with a specific cash register, or press 'Log Out' to sign in with another account.
Enter the cash balance and tap ‘Open Register’.
If the entered cash balance matches the actual cash register, the product view of the selected store will appear and you are ready to start a sale.
If the cash balance does not match with what was calculated in the closing of the register, a warning about the difference will be displayed.
It is now possible to recount the register or add a comment and then tap 'Open register'. A note is required to access the POS with a cash count difference.
It is also possible to discontinue the register opening by pressing the cross in the top right corner. Afterwards, the word 'Closed' will reappear and you can open the register again.
Opening the register with ‘automatic’ configuration
If you have counted the register and completed the day, this screen will appear when you have signed in.
Press ‘Open register’ to open the register or press ‘Log out’, to sign in with a new account.
After choosing ‘Open register’, a page with the expected opening float will appear. If you choose ‘Open register’, the register will open with that cash balance.
If you choose ‘recount’, you have the opportunity to recount the register balance. This works the same way as with the manual opening. Therefore, follow the above-mentioned guide ‘Opening the register with the ‘Manual’ configuration’.
