The configuration of CSV files takes place in Microsoft Excel. The file can be set up as an all line, where all information about a product is written on a single line. The setup can also be done more structured with a regular table setup.
Is the CSV file set up as en all-line, this has to be done as the format mentioned below;
id;name;description;retail_price;cost_price;barcode;tags.0
Is the CSV file set up as a regular table setup, the seven variable - id, name, description, retail price, cost price, barcode and tags - has to be present.
Examples of the two possible setups are seen here:
All-line Tabel
When the setup is completed and all the data is entered, the Excel file should be saved as a .csv file. This is a requirement in order for the product to be imported to the back office.
The file is now ready to be used to product import. See 'Product import' for a guide on how to import products to the account through a CSV file.
